Cavity Barrier and Fire Stopping provision
Reviewed the cavity barrier extended voids. The fire-stopping provision in compartmentation and fire rated walls.
Gatwick Terminal 1& 2
Baggage conveyor belt voids: Reviewed the means of escape strategy, detection and warning system, emergency signage strategy and the security issues. In addition, the compartmentation strategy was key
Sprinkler design for retail unit: Redesign of the sprinkler system to meet Gatwick standards and ensuring that it met the overall airport strategy
Replacement of pressurisation system: Specification for a new pressurisation system
Means of Escape strategy to ensure airside did not mix with landside passengers. Specify the maximum capacity of the terminal and if adequate escape stairs are provided.
Airport Lounge strategy covering B1-B5 issues and insurer’s requirements

Reviewed the fire strategy for railway depots. In terms of means of escape, warning, and compartmentation. The scope also covered property protection
Stansted Satellite Termnial
Fire engineering support from Concept Design to Construction Detail phase. This included alarms system zoning, means of escape, compartmentation, smoke extraction system.
Stansted Immigration Hall
Designed the evacuation policy for the immigration hall to ensure those that have not been cleared through security do not enter land side or are able to mix with passengers awaiting departure.
